Avishkar is where trash turns into technology. This is not just a craft competition; it is a challenge to build a functional, running model using nothing but discarded materials. If you have the vision to see a motor in a soda bottle or a gear in a cardboard box, come prove that innovation doesn’t need a big budget—it just needs a big brain.

Description
In the current scenario of environmental awareness, "Avishkar" or "Innovation" is a shining example of the effectiveness of resourceful thinking. Organized at the ITS Mohan Nagar campus, this event encourages students to be "Earth Warriors" and "Engineers" simultaneously. The aim is to transform garbage, discarded electronics, or plastic pieces into something functional by creating a "working, moving model" out of them.
What to Expect:
- Engineering with a Soul: The participants are not merely creating static models. The "Running Model" criterion ensures that the models are moving, lighting up, or doing something functional. It could be a hydraulic arm constructed from syringes or a solar-powered fan created from discarded CDs. The emphasis is on functionality.
- The "Jugaad" Factor: This is where the brilliance of ITS students truly lies. You will witness the most innovative uses of common trash to overcome mechanical issues. It is a lesson in lateral thinking and physics.
- The Presentation: It is not merely a matter of creating something functional. The participants have to present the use of their model, the physics behind its motion, and the environmental implications of the "waste" they have used.
